Sewing more blocks all weekend! Here's the latest batch...
My latest tally is 56 of 81 blocks complete!
These are using my new Moda Marbles Citrus solids(kind of marble-y solids hence the name). They are turning out reallllly bright and colourful, just loving how they look! And my scrap pile is going down very quickly which is great. I can actually close the bin they are stored in now- hehe!
Today we were going to take Starry out for a forced socializing visit to the pet store, and a few other places, but it decided to rain out, lucky for her! She has been getting a bit worse as far as being around people and other dogs, when we go for walks she flips out at silly things like people riding by on bikes, kids, kids delivering papers, baby strollers, even noises in the distance, and definitely it's no touching or getting to near for anybody who wants to pat her. At home in the house though, everything is a-ok and she's pretty good with new things. So we are going to start taking her out whether she likes it or not and try to expose her to a bit more. Being at home all day with just us, she's getting too used to being with just us. The shy thing is getting better, but her weird phobias are getting worse. It's time for Starry bootcamp!

Just throw the ball!
Today I'm also working on a painting which I am very excited about- it's turning out well and I have plans for it- I'm in the upcoming Ladies First Show(Facebook link) which is starting in Vancouver on March 6, then travelling to the US. So, 2 purposes for this one- one to go in the show and two, as an example for The Cheaper Show, which is juried and deadline is fast approaching for applications with 3 samples! yikes!
I better get my paintbrushes whirring, see you soon!
