Missed a couple of days of blog updates- yikes!
This past weekend we had the fam over for dinner for my mum's birthday which was nice! Yummy dinner, funny chocolate-icing-swiping nephew, birthday chocolate brownies, lovely! I made a quilted table runner/mat for my mum's bday pressie and it turned out really well if I do say so myself!

Other than all this, I have not got much to report. We both have been working working working, crazy busy so that's good! But not many crafty projects to show you. Doing lots of knitting on my Carmella sweater, the body is about half-finished. I need a pattern to use my 900-ish yards of Malabrigo lace for- a shawl or shrug- any suggestions are most welcome!
More to come soon, this coming weekend is a full-on Craftapalooza, looking forward to that!
Oh yeah and the lady at the drugstore said I have cool hair. Hehehe!
I be knittin'...

Plannin'...
Bread makin'...

You don't really want to see the huge pile of receipts we spent 2 hours adding up this morning do you? Nah.
Holy smokes, it's Friday again already! Time really is flying by these days.
Look! I won an award, from the very sweet Bea and Robyn! Thank you both!! You are too kind!

To accept this award, here are the rules:
1. Thank the person who gave you the award.
2. Paste the award on your blog.
3. Link to the person who nominated you.
4. Tell 7 interesting things about yourself (see below)
5. Nominate 7 blogs and post links
6. Leave a comment on your nominated blogs to let them know
7 interesting things about me that you may or may not already know...
1. I love thrifting, especially dishes- plates, bowls, creamers. I love the 50's-70's style- vintage, retro, flowers, and am always on the hunt for pieces from the Villeroy & Boch Acapulco line. Swoon!
2. I almost went into fashion design instead of graphic design when I finished highschool. I'm glad I changed my mind last minute!
3. I have 2 younger brothers.
4. I once had my eyebrow pierced but it never healed properly so I took it out!
5. Yes! I do have big feet, size 12's. It sucks to find cute shoes but much better now than when I was a big-footed kid.
6. I'm not really afraid of anything, but I don't like spiders, yuck.
7. I love being self-employed! Despite stressy issues around keeping work coming in and chasing delinquent non-payers-which is my biggest issue- I could never ever go back to work for somebody else as an employee. Never.
I would like to give this award to Carol, Kimli, Tara, Denise, Cynthia, Isela and Tanya- you all inspire me in so many different ways- rock on beautiful chicas!
Did I tell you that Bea and Robyn are coming to visit us in the spring? SO excited and I can't wait to meet them both in person!!
I'm just planning what we're going to be doing, jam-packed so far!
Back to work now, mucho to do today before the weekend!
